Compared to some airlines, like Air Canada, the food on Qatar Airways is a treat. In Canada, on most domestic flights, you have to purchase crap sandwiches at extortion prices. My seat from Montreal to London on Air Canada wouldn't even stay up and the inflight entertainment sucked. The airline crew are usually surly and snarly - more like cranky school cafeteria ladies than professionals.

Qatar Airways food is at least edible - usually not enough chicken meals to go around - usually more than enough lamb / goat fur meals to go around though. I love the fact that you can get free wine with the meal. Portions are usually enough and the variety on your tray keeps your interest.

Would be nice if airlines would pick up the food trays quicker as well. By the time the people at the back get their food, it should be time to immediately go to the front to start picking up trays instead of going for a break. I hate sitting with all the used wrappers in front of me for half an hour or more.

yeah not too bad in economy. 6/10? The bun was very hard and the food is the same just different bun fillings. Considering it was a 1hr flight it was ok.

I can't give more than 3 out of 10.

I would also like to COMPLETELY AGREE with the comments of one of the friends - HOTANDSTICKY above on the terrible design and seating of their Premium Terminal Lounges plus their AlMaha (First & Business Class) Lounge at the normal Terminal. VERY VERY TRUE and disappointing that one can't even relax on those 90 degree rock-hard seats. What were they thinking?

BTW, as a basis for comparison take a look at:

it sucks.

Qatar Airways pride themselves with being the best, but they really need to think hard as the only thing 5 star about them is the beautiful air hostes, with some not speaking clear English nor arabic. One would think with that with all the exhorbitant cost of travel they would show some respect.

So my score is 0.0 out of 10.

I usually travel in Business and Economy class. I would say that meals onboard are 7/10 depending on the region you are going. But as a 5 star airline that is definetly bellow average.

Anyhow the lounges really suck. I cant believe how can they treat passengers that way.

Qatar airways meals and service are just very normal

and IF YOU WANT TO COMPARE IT TO HOW THEY MARKET THEMSELVES AS 5 STAR AIRWAYS and the cost pf the ticket then IT IS VERY POOR airways IN MEALS AND IN SERVICE AS WELL>>> NOT EVEN A ONE STAR>>>>

THEIR PRICES ARE VERY VERY HIGH IN COMPARISON TO WHAT THEY OFFER ONBOARD>>>>>

Having recently flown Doha/Paris and Manchester/Doha economy class I can give a 7 on 1st flight as the steward took too long to serve the food. Coming back to Doha 6/10 as they didn't have enough choices-the chicken dish had finished before we were served and we were only half way down the plane. We were served the only choice available-sausages with mash potatoes and pumpkin which wasn't very nice.

Checking in at Manchester was extremely pleasant I must add-no hassles at all.

Well, I would suggest QA to serve food specific to the reagion where we are flying to. Other wise, its a good feeling to get served as previllage member before others. Yes, I agree with most... Looks good compared to quality.

Taste: 6/10

Quality: 9/10

Looks: 9/10

Not a food connesuier but what a joke of a premium terminal. The design is atrocious.

All little chairs?? Not a sofa to be seen? The place is more like a business meeting room than a lounge to relax in. If I were Al Baker I would hang the designer from the highest flagpole. What a disgrace.

Not to mention the hideous snack bar. Just have to love that rice noodle salad that is always dryer than desert sand. How appetizing.

But really, how can every single seat be a small up your butt chair?? What were they thinking?

I flew international 2 weeks ago on economy basis and the only complain I had was that the bun in the main meal was very hard and not enough Pepsi onboard. AND I did not understand the waitress's accent and ended up with something I did not wanted. I would have prefered a printed menu as you receive on for example Emirates. I would give them a 5.

No Complaint on quality in any class, however on my last flight out my prebooked Lo-fat, lo-chol meal wasn't available, and the "choice" of wine was white or red, so 7 out of 10
