So a few weeks ago i was conacted by someone via email with the following email:

Dear Professional/Expatriate,

We wish to use this medium to inform you that you are needed as an
expatriate in the on-going oil/gas exploration in Qatar. Your profile
and qualifications were found via linkedin.com. Kindly send your
CV/resume and certificates to back up your qualifications stated on
your CV to us via email : [email protected]

After assessment and proper scrutiny, you shall be contacted if we
find your qualifications suitable for immediate employment.

Mohamed Farook
Head, Human Resources Dept.
Oceanic Drilling Qatar.
Email: [email protected]

P.O.BOX 46314
Doha Qatar

now the thing is i havent gotten a phone call or anything i did send my qualifications etc and was them emailed back with a follow up email with an intervie document after such i filled it out and then a job offer contract was sent. the thing is they didnt ask for any money but i this a real company? i looked at them online and their page is extremely shakey. as i said the contract was amazing and no money was asked for they even said they would pay for everything. so i really want to know if the=is company is real and if this is real or not im so confused.

A week ago i received a mail stateing that we need your services as a Reservoir engineer so send us your updated CV. I thought it is recruiter so sent my CV, later, in response received a questionnaire. Before filling the questionnaire, checked their website and found that it is not a recruiter but a drilling company. Instead searching further i google his name with company name and came to this site and really sorry to know i was not the only victim but there are already some other peoples. I would like to share with all of you please be aware about the job scam. So far i have received 5 offers from world top class companies on their letter head.If you google the name of signing guy on net you will surprise to know that guy is really a head of HR in that company. So be aware and like to say GOD bless all of you in job hunting.

Definitely a scam, they are possibly waiting for you to get restless and send them emails and then get to you about the money.

Companies don't like to hire without Video interviews or atleast before a few phone calls followed up by phone interviews.

i thought that much from the get go i found it very sketchy. I didnt send them my original documents or anything as my brother and i said the next step is probably where they would say something like they are having problems with the work permit etc and ask for a sum of money. he left a contact but when i called and ask about if he was able to spare a few minutes to converse about the company he said not possible at the moment. thanks just wanted to make sure there is no such company.

For goodness sake.. Even a blind bat can see that it's a scam ... No company of repute would advertise like this

I'd like to know why they refer to themselves as Pacific Drilling on one of their webpages, there is no link to the board of directors nor are they listed with the chamber of commerce. They don't even say which prestgious building they occupy in Doha. Information seems sketchy as you say. I hope you didn't send them your original documents.
