Living in Doha temporarily without with my husband

Hi, I'm looking for a bit of guidance. I've been offered a great role in Doha and my family and I are planning to relocate. In an ideal world, my husband would stay in Australia to fulfil his work duties and join us roughly six months later. Am I able to relocate with my children, but without my husband for a period of time?

Thanks.

Get your children's school record attested as well as the schools here will require that.

Come over, My hubby is Aussie and I followed him after 2 months. It's a great place to live. However, please make sure you get all your documents attested there in Australia before coming here such as Degree Certificates, Birth Certificate of children, Marriage Contract. For you to get the documents attested, bring all your documents for AUTHENTICATION in Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade which will cost 20$ per document and it subject for release within 2-3days (make sure your documents have all the signatures and the name of the signatory or else DFAT will not going to authenticate your documents) if DFAT rejected your document, you will need to notarised it, then bring it back to DFAT for Authentication.

After that, send your documents to Qatar Embassy in Canberra it would cost you $6.70 per document. I could send you more details if you need it, just message me back.

It will be a struggle when you arrive here without getting your documents attested as those are requirements for you to be able to sponsor your family under family visa. I would assume your children are Aussie and born in Australia, they could come with you without any fuss as they could get an Entry Visa straight away. However, if not, that is where the issue is like what happened to us.

Yes, of course..

There is nothing to worry about in Qatar.

It's one of the safest countries..

However, you may need a visit / tourist visa for your children.

Also, don't forget to bring a International driving permit along with your Australian driving license with you.
