Depends on who takes you. If you are on your own and are with a low-level company, then it can take a while. If you show up with a connected Qatari from your HR, then you race through the line. It's a good introduction to how things work in this country.

U dont have to stand in line basically,u will see a huge line of people standing in sun, just opposite u will see a room with ac and seats, basically u have to go there , take a number in the entrance and sit n relax n wait for the number to display on the counter.

bout the line , is it all the same? i mean is there a different line for engineers, laborer,nurses etc.. more like being classified.. juz askin..

The earlier the better. But i think he/she made an appointment so there would be no problem. :)

Yourself, passport, copy of the new visa and a sum of 100qr. You need to avail the e-cash card, it is available in the medical commission. Thats all... Goodluck
