Open a savings bank account in Qatar, without RP.

Dear Friends,

Basically I'm from India and currently I've been deputed for a project, which is in Qatar. As I don't have any bank account I'm receiving salary by cash, which is not advisable. To resolve this, I would like to open an SB account, but the problem is, I'm travelling to Qatar on Business Visa (3 months validity), as I've enquired, all the banks are asking me to provide Qatar ID/RP to open an account, so requesting you to provide me some information on banks, where I can open an account without RP.

Hope I'll get some positive responses ASAP.

Hi rsandlin,

I've inquired with both the banks, they are telling that if I don't have RP while opening an account that is okay but I need to submit them before 90 days it seems :(. Could you please advise where I can open an account without RP as I'm not getting RP.

Ask anybody walking on the street for a money exchange ....... that's first step to take after you get the salary .....

You say it is not advisable to get salary in cash. I don't see any issue. You have any particular reason?
