Qatar ain't no place for Public Holidays

My doubts about the public holidays in Qatar came up true after a little research on the official public holidays in the Gulf, in the Middle East and in the Arab world.
No need to tell you that Qatar came up last, with the least public holidays throughout the Region. Only 10 official holidays just after Algeria with 11 for 2008.
Here are some results on the Official public holidays in the Gulf, the Middle East and the Arab World :

Saudi Arabia & Lebanon (22), Kuwait & Irak (21),Syria & Sudan (20), Oman & Egypt (19), United Arab Emirates & Yemen (17), Bahrain & Jordan (16), Palestine, Libya, Morocco, Tunis (15), Algeria (11), Qatar (10).

Best place to work(for holidays) is Kerala, India- You will get at least 4-5 days a month coz of strikes/bandhs/hartals

well I don't mind seeing as we get

4 weeks vacation (which rolls on to the next year)

We get two Eid vacations which equals around 7 days

During ramadan work hours are cut in half for a month.

National holiday

We usually get 5 days for 'selective' holidays.

20 sick days

and ADD to the fact that I work 7-2:30 (although I choose to work overtime)

There must be more too.

I think it's pretty good.

Lebanon is understandable, they have Islamic and Christian holidays. Probably buddhist, sikh, and hindu too!
