Terminated without NOC and with personal loan

I know this subject has been discussed before but I need real life examples or professional opinion please:

Terminated from company, no intention to provide NOC, and personal loan from bank (with signed approval from sponsor to take the loan) which needs 3.5 years to be covered.

What am I supposed to do?
Anyone can help with real examples or legal opinion...

Much appreciated!

Patience.. habibi.. Are you sure? It all depends on what kind of insurance they have. Unless your insurance mention clearly that in case of termination you don't have to pay any liabilities, they won't let you go.

Most of them here have life insurance, never heard of this termination clause..which bank was it?

patience: I did not know this. TFS. I am off to get a hefty loan from my local bank.

that's hilarious Patience. I hope you know what (or WHO) will be waiting for you when you get back to your home country.

If I were you I would be VERY scared of what you are about to encounter from the local debt collectors.

Do you really think banks make huge profits by letting people run home without paying their loans and credit cards.

I pity your family. They are going to suffer.

hi i've been in that situation before.Terminated also with bank loan but i can still go home without any hussle.if you will ask the bank if your loan is insured furely they will not say YES even there is because they want you to pay.honestly and based on my experience loan and credit card are insured.once my company told me that i can go they just request an exit permit for me and thats it.if they issued you exit permit nobody can stop you from going out of qatar.

May God make it easy for you to accept and to get through it.

For the same reason I love the Exit permit system.

My strategy of living is, if you go to place, make it better or at least don't damage it or make it worse for others to live..

Local authorities trust foreigners and give them a loan , if there is no exit permit, majority of them just fly back home and never come back.

Good luck.

politely to give you an NOC after sending them a detailed email of your situations.

If they don't give NOC you can try in Labour Court, print those emails before going there.

On the other way round, as per your comments I think you took loan 6 months ago. What did you do with the money?

If you have spent it in real estate/gold, you can sell & give them back.

If you bought home in your country & you don't have any other home, sell it & rent a cheaper home.

If you have invested in business, you can close it & return the money.

Accept the tough days of life and try to solve it by not doing anything illegal.

I am sure no insurance will cover the loan, and I am not willing to run away either...So I need the NOC and it makes sense that I should get it to cover my loan...

I dont understand why they never have one solution that is clear and applied to everyone...

I am waiting for the NOC, if not, then probably will go to labour office in MOI to see if they can help...

Don't believe these silly stories of insurance and credit shield. Instead, read all the dozens of stories posted by people on QL who have been trapped for not repaying their loans.

From a similar thread:

Hi, sorry i just read your feedback regarding my concerns, and i want to say thank you for enlightening me, i am still currently here in Doha because of my situation, here is what happened, last January 23, 2013, my company cancelled my PATAKA then at a later time, they realized that i do have a bank loan, so they informed the bank during that same day (it was already afternoon) by sending an e-mail of my termination letter,. during that same day (at night), they give me my passport with the "cancelled" stamp on my visa as well as a letter that serves as an exit permit, however, the next day...

.... There was this understanding taking a loan and a big one would act as an insurance in case you got terminated. Even if the company wanted to kick you out the bank just would not let you get out and then both parties would have to make a deal and go to the courts, etc. This was one way to prolong the agony for the company who wanted you gone. Either they pay the loan for you or they give you a NOC where you can find another job and pay the loan back to the bank

No valid reason.

They recently renewed my RP and we were about to sign a new contract with a new position and salary increase.

but the idea is not to file a case against them since I am sure I am the weak part in this country.

Any success with labour court? And where is it exactly?

ONCE MY FRIND TOLD ME THAT IF YOU RESIGN YOU HAVE TO CLEAR A LOAN, AND IF YOU WERE TERMINATED THAN INSURANCE WILL COVER THE AMOUNT. JUST CHECK WITH YOUR BANK COZ YOU ARE PAYING INSURANCE ALSO WHEN YOU TAKE LOAN.

100% your company will be having a Non Qatari Boss.. Ask your Qatari Sponsor to help u... or go to Labor Court which is best.

Ask the NOC, I am sure they will.

Why did they terminate you suddenly? What did you do ?

You have to negotiate, convince your sponsor to give you release or ask assistance from your embassy.

The only easy solution is to take a loan from a bank back home or get a friend to loan you the money. Otherwise you are screwed and you can't leave the country.
