working under fathers sponsorship
Hi all, Im a male resident staying here under my dads sposnorship. Ive been looking for jobs and I found one but they want me to transfer to their sponsorship because
"According to the Qatari Labor law, we cannot have sales people working in our shops who are not under our company sponsorship."
Is this true? I couldnt find anything about this and no other company has asked em to transfer my sponsorship.
I ended up just ignoring it, it seemed sketchy and I couldn't find any such conditions for the current labor law
Sorry, respectfully,
the difference being he is male and your daughter is female.
Daughters can be under fathers sponsorship for a lot longer than sons, - I may be wrong.
It would also depend on his age.
Most likely, it might be the company people putting up these restrictions. Being in a sales line, they want to be able to control his travel. You get my drift.
I was on my father's sponsorship for a long while before changing to company. Repeated reminders from HR. However, times were different.
I don't think it to be true as my daughter worked in a company for five years and she was always under my sponsorship. You can check with the National Human Rights Commision though.
