Complaint against Mashreq Bank Qatar
I am totally and completely dissatisfied with the total and utter lack of response from all concerned at Mashreq Bank in resolving my credit card outstanding issue. Regarding the issue; I visited the C ring road branch, spoke to customer service online. None could help in resolving and instead asked me to meet recovery department..
In spite of meeting the Recovery Manager in West Bay and furnishing all details, no one bothered to settle the issue and instead I kept getting penalty debited every month; in spite of my not having any outstanding .
In spite of having given instructions to deduct 100% outstanding at the due date, they deducted just 15% and kept sending penalty debits, which totaled to QR 5400 !!!! Meanwhile, in-between; I sent n number of mails to which not one was replied. I called the recovery department and they kept putting me on to others, passing the buck; and finally the issue was unresolved..
My outstanding at the time of account closing was NIL; the document of which was shown and submitted to the Recovery Manager at West bay where their credit card recovery department is located.
People, beware. This problem is not there just with me, buy many of my colleagues who had accounts with Mashreq bank. They are there to unwittingly cheat you and fleece you. At the time of account opening they call you a thousand times. Once you are a client and have a problem, nobody bothers to resolve the issue. They just like to keep sending penalty debits and keep fleecing clients.

My suggession is call / visit someother bank's credit card as a new customer and ask them what if they do in future like the same secanario tell it happend to your friend. they may give you the answer. follow that.
Do not file a case and all without a proper guidance.
File a complaint with the Central Bank
Get the email of their GM, send your case summary directly to him and the matter shall resolve quickly.
Or u can present your case to his secretary.
best option is keep away from credit cards & bank loans
I think you have a place to complain. As I remember this is the Credit Bureau located down C-Ring road.
Contact Consumer Protection. Banks here don't care about customer service. It's only a phrase for their brochure and website
All banks in Qatar are unprofessional.
