I am looking for a good flat in a good area (doha)and housing allowence I am getting is 8K QR. I dont know if that's sufficient.

I am getting company accommodation for a month after my arrival.

Also, how are the rental leasing terms there? yearly lease or monthly basis.

Really appreciate your feedback.

bmw and mntrl_in_doha, it's a bit hard to answer your questions. It all depends on what your standards and requirements are. "Good" flat, "bad" flat, "good area, "bad" area.. this is subjective... 1 br flat might be found in a range of QR6,500 to QR10,000-12,000. Obviously, it's easier to find expensive flats than the cheap ones. 2-br apartment could run from 7,500 to 17,000 or even more...

I am flying to Doha from Toronto in first week of Sept. can anyone pls let me know if there are any one bedrooms fully furnished in Doha and how much do they cost?

for Al Saad and Bin Mahmoud area but as I'm still hopeful to get something around 9ish. I think other areas are less expensive and have colleagues who live close to the area and Ras Abu Aboud in very nice flats for about 7500 QR.

my first attempt is to be within the allowances I receive from the company, with is 8000 QRS.

And just opened this post, to validate if this allowance is enough, and it seemed like it's very low as per current prices in rentals..

for a few weeks now and have found nothing less than 9,000 QR for an unfurnished one bedroom and over 12,000 QR for a two bedroom but there are lots of them out there if you can afford 'em.

I have checked but not sure if areas such as Al Sadd, Bin Manzour, Manzoura Area are acceptable..

Can you please give me an idea?

classified as well as contact some copmanies dealing in property. I have arrived here few months back in my opinion for QAR 8000 you can get good accomoadtion.
