I am planing to move after Ramadan to Qatar, will be moving with my family from the US and trying to figure out something temporary housing with 2bedrooms for couple of months until i get a RP and apply for my family.

I cant seem to see any affordable (9-10k per month) monthly rentals online. not sure what the reality is on ground, my employer is offering me a hotel but i cant stay in a single bedroom with 4 kids for the short term.

Any guidance will be great.

My company will give me 12k max for the family residence, but that is once they arrive, for now i have 10k allowance.

Khalliwalli, you only have negative comments, this is my second encounter with you. I am sure Qatar is expensive but people from lower or lower middle class are not dying there cuz of hunger or lack of basic needs.

a sincere advice, If you cant add anything productive then please stay out of it please.

Well - Ofcourse you can find things in lower price as well but since he mentioned his budget was 9-10 K so I told him he should be prepared to give this rent for a 3 bed room apartment as he got 4 kids.

So if he would want to live in a decent area, thats how he will be paying and he should be prepared.

Other than providing him some information, I did not have any intentions at all :)

umkhan: How many people in Doha can afford to pay rent between 10 and 18? Such comments are solely for upper strata of the working class. Stated in easy understandable language, its for the westerners.

Hey - Its not that bad. You can get some thing decent with two bedrooms, good enough to live in Le Mirage Residence. They have couple of building. The area is not super good but buildings from inside are good. They have proper kitchen and it would be easy for you.

There are other buildings as well who can offer you the same kind of deal but I have not seen them from inside. I just stayed here. Apart from that, if you are coming with 4 kids, and you want to live in some decent and nice area you can get a 3 bed room apartment ranging from 10K to 18K, depending on your choice of area and apartment.

Also if your company is giving you a one bed room apartment then I would suggest you come alone for a month and have your family here within a month. If your PROs are smart, you will have your RP in 15 - 20 days. Then you will look for an apartment and can have your family here once you get the apartment.

Hope that will help.
