Have also noticed an increase too over the last couple of nights, planes are still flying on the exact same path, directly over our Villa, appear at about the same height and they are still putting their undercarriage down at the same point, but the noise is noticeably greater. Think it must just be atmospherics or the planes are getting older and the engines more noisy. Don't remember it last year or the year before though, so can only think it is a combination of the wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, cloud cover, dust in the air, etc. that are causing it, hopefully it will pass soon as one or more of those change.
