Greetings All,

I need your expertise opinion folks. I just graduated and recieved my Bachelor's in International Relations and I'm very interested in begining my career in Qatar or starting off. My family live in Lebanon and I want to stay near by. I'm a U.S. citizen and bilingual Arabic/English and intermediate Spanish. Am I going to have a decent chance in finding a job in Qatar?

Waiting for your thoughts,

You seem to have a solid background and I'd say your prospects would be pretty good anywhere you go! Definitely try embassies. :)

Sure you will find a job, but too bad you wont save anything because you will be giving it all to our landlord, supremarket and everything else to live here.

You will go back to the USA with absolutely nothing to show for your work here. It is extortionately expensive here pal. Hope your job affords you DEEP pockets because you will need all the cash you can get

I didn't think I would be able to get a job here but I did. You don't know if you don't try! I think there are a lot of people like you here in Doha. You would fit in perfectly. Start applying!! Good luck!!

Maybe, but finding a job as a fresh graduate here with no experience (you didn't mention what experience, if any, you have) is often very difficult.

With no experience very unlikely unless you have good connections here and someone can place you in a nice position. Otherwise graduate job with no experience go to Qataris.

Why not contact a number of the embassies via email/phone, and enquire as to whether they are able to utilize your chosen studies field. I would suggest the ones which speak either Arabic or spanish, as you are bilingual that is a big help for some.
