Am i the only person who has experiences the worst service possibly known to man from Alfardan Land Rover?
I have recently purchased a Land Rover from Alfardan (so called Premier) motors and had the unfortunate experience of attempting to get an issue fixed through warranty. Firstly it took the service dept 3 days to tell me what the issue was (the AC unit wasn't working correctly which i could have told them myself)they then informed me that the part would take up to 6 weeks to arrive in Doha, in which they expected me to drive my vehicle without any functioning AC. I also had a small oil leak which i asked to be fixed, when i turned up to pick the vehicle, they informed me that this was not under warranty and i would have to pay. When i challenged them to show me a list of what was covered under warranty they could not do so, and they accepted that i did not have to pay. It is my understanding that they are simply trying it on with customers who are not willing to challenge this and i would encourage people to do so. Getting back to the debacle, i stated to Alfardam that seeing as the vehicle is under warranty that i should have a replacement vehicle as it is unsafe to expect a customer to drive around in the Doha temperatures without any AC and that Land Rover should be responsible for providing a replacement. I was told that no vehicles are avaialable and that they would contact me as soon as one became avaialable. Two weeks passed and i was contacted saying that a vehicle was available and could i bring my car in next week. When i got in, i was informed that i must pay a 1500 QR deposit, which would be refunded as soon as i returned the temporary car. Well it is over a month now and the funds still have not been refunded, after several calls on a daily / weekly basis the afetrsales manager has been in touch, and yet again no refund.
DOMASCO provides excellent service for VOLVO, I really have wonderful experience. After Sales support services are really important, I am dissapointed to hear regarding Al Fardan which is luxury brand.
You're good for standing for what is right. Make a formal complaint to management (highest if you want) and furnish copy Land Rover HQ. Let the axe fall where it should. By the way, it seems the general trend here in Qatar is almost always: poor service.
Approach the higher management immediately , leave aside
sales section etc ....
