Any well organised activities available for creative types?

Hello.

My Mum is bored in Doha. She likes the country, but hates having nothing to do here. She's recently retired so a life with suddenly no job also doesn't help alleviate the boredom. She's got decades of experience as a Home Economics Teacher, and loves doing creative stuff like flower-arranging, knitting and more cooking stuff. During her frequent visits to Doha, she wants to work on either a paid or voluntary basis.

She won't enjoy sitting around sipping coffee at a cafe with people with similar interests - she'd much rather do creative stuff.

Any ideas about where and what she could do that fits in with her interests?
