Attention....A social matter in Health Sector in Qatar

So sad to know about the incidents happening in medical field and no exception for dental treatment also. Its becoming a looting show going on in most of the hospitals in Qatar except HMC,the Government Hospital.
But unfortunately, government is not taking any steps to give a guidance or control such clinics who loot patients visit a clinic with much expectations.
The comments in Qatar Living are almost true...regarding the charging,QUALIFIED QUACK doctors treatment(not all but some)unwanted compulsion/misguidance of doctors especially dentists etc.
These kind of problems started increasing in Qatar after the opening of Apollo Clinic which has ignited the real commercialization of medical field through pure marketing ..another way bluffing the public. This kind of over marketing should have not been allowed by Ministry of Health. An advertisement for public awareness initially would have been allowed.
The press should look into this matter very seriously to draw the attention of Government to put an end to this kind of looting.
A very serious matter to be investigated is that the direct and indirect commission/offers to doctors from treatment, medicines etc...
A lot many comments heard that most of the doctors in Apollo write over dose medicines and that too the most expensive antibiotic medicines for most of the diseases.
This is a very serious matter to be brought to the attention of authorities.Insurance companies does not have any problem to pay this amount..but what about the poor people??????
If any body from press or government sector happens to read this, please do the needful since it is a social matter.
Just blaming is not a solution..how to solve the matter is the real problem.
So,try to think in that way...Good Luck..........

hey Aisha very well done said. I had the same experience with Appollo clinic. They charged me QR 100 for consultation fees only and offcourse suggested very expensive medicines but Thank God my company paid for it.

I totally agree with the Aisha. For one small problem like throat congestion, Doctors use to prescribe Antibiotic, Antihistamine, Cough, Adol and Mouthwash. If one will not work, the other will work. Authorities should take notice of this practice.

Hey Aisha...very well said. many constructions workers are there which are drawing as low as 800riyals monthly...and one visit is enough to make them spend half of it...and that too wont solve. this is happening at a higher level and only government authorities can handle it..my vote to you. please take this concern seriously guys.

I agree with medicine part. Couple of month ago my father did full checkup with Apollo and they prescribed him very expensive medicine. But good that his company paid them all.
