Can I manage in this said salary package
I get offer for the post of an Accountant in Doha,Qatar. They offered Basic QRS 2,200.00 + HRA 600.00+Transportation+medical+yearly return ticket to home.
As I Don’t Have Any Idea About The Standard Of Living in QATAR. I Shall Be Very Much Grateful to you if you tell me that shall I be in a position to manage in the salary offered.
Cost of living And standard of living is high, expenses are going to increase further.
You will only live as a bachelor, if you have plans of getting your family here, forget it.
You need to ensure that total package is at least 6000 or more. With the salary offered, you will not be able to do anything. Even taxis are expensive here.
demand for more... it is really low,esp if you have experience and very qualified. Imagine you'll be tied in that company for 2 years or more....

If you are a fresher and single.. yes you can expect to save 1000QR if you live in sharing accommodation and cook your own food.
If you have any work experience, I think it is a poor offer..
The salary offered to you is equivalent to receptionist salary who has no experience at all .
If accountant you should get totally QAR 5000 -7000 per month +annual tickets +100 % medical +bonus as per co norms + family status after marriage with family tkts .
At above salary , you will not save but spend from your pocket to survive .
Your package is for Account Assistant or Secretary post Only. As accountant you should demand more like 6k above.
however, If you want to gain experience only, its not that bad.
You will save less than in India. But if you just want to live in Qatar and gain some gulf experience you may. Also dont think of jumping boats either, as it is not possible in Qatar.
If you are an experienced professional dont go for this package.It is very low.For the living cost in Qatar your savings will be very less.You can get a bedspace (maybe 3 or 4 in a room) for an amount of Qar 600.Regarding medical mostly the company will take for you medical card with Hamad(govt.hospital)which costs only 100 qr per year.Mostly people prefer to go to private hospitals for minor illness like fever etc....Once single visit will cost you around Qr 100 to 150 depending on sickness. You will have to spend a minimum of 600 qr for food.so just think of your final savings.Maybe you can save Qr 1500 as you are going have a bachelor life here.
