Car Insurance - Different plate number?

I just bought a used car, and the previous owner had a special number licence plate, which was changed during registration and transfer to me.

The insurance document now has the old special number on it, rather than the new one, but the chassis number is the same. Is this OK? The traffic department accepted it at transfer of ownership.

No you have to revisit and ask them to change the number.
