I have consent with the suggestion of Mr. Bawaqqar. Let me tell you some more. You will find the two rates of gold in Qatar-
1- The one on which tax is not added on gold but they increase the making charges (this usually happen in small shops in gold souq)
2- those who have standard price of gold including all taxes, their making charges are comparatively lower then the above type (in the branded show rooms like Damac, Sulaiman jwellers etc.. But at the same time making charges depends upon the design & contry of origin.
finally, as per my experience i would suggest you to visit Sky jwellers or Atlas(Lulu hyper).

You can buy jewellery from any good gold outlets but then check the gold price for the day and plus the making charges maybe sometimes they give discount in making charges but not in gold price. Secondly if your budget is small why don't you go for light weight gold jewellery, I think this information is more than enough

Brother, the main constituent of the Jewellery will be GOLD and its price will be the prevailing market price of the DAY. Rest, there is some making charges and it depends on your negotiation skills how much discount can you extract. Then, making charges depends from the origin of the jewelery as well. So your question has a VARIETY of answers. But, at the end of the day, its YOU who can run around, make market survey and make the best choices.
Also, your expensive jewelery might be Cheap for someone else ... so, its your budget / pocket who defines the price level.
