Cost of living in Doha Qatar

Hello Friends,

I would like to know about the cost of living in Doha,Qatar.I would like to know about the expenses for a couple.

We have a normal life style.I might get a pay around 25,000 per month and my wife will be looking for work as well.

1)rent--studio or single bed room- furnished/semi furnished/ unfurnished
2)Food-Cooked
3) Bills-internet, water, electricity, gas
4)travel
4.a Car-for rent and for buying, other related expenses.
4.b public transport-what are the modes available and how much it cost.

over all cost of living for a couple is approx qr.6000 -7000 per month

fully furnished Appartments near ezdan suites will be available for qr.4000 with internet etc that saves ur cost as well.city center is good shopping as well.

1) Studio Flats - 4000+ Add 1000 More if furnished

2) Single Bed room - 5000+ Add 1000 More if furnished

3) Part of a villa (Bedroom+Hall+Kitchen) Complete look

alike setup as an individual flat - 3500 - 4000+

Add 1000 More if furnished

2) Your monthly grocery bills might come around 1500 for

3) One time investment for gas cyliner (300+) & filled

up cylinder at Qr.15 on every exchange.

5) Mid size (lancer,honda civic,corolla) for rent at

around Qr.1500+ per month. (its better to own a car

on the same EMI per month)

6) Metered taxis named Karwa , bit expensive (also

should be lucky enough to get it on time.

7) Karwa public bus (not suitable for families) Pre loaded smart card deducts Qr.2 on every trip around the city.

8) Home ADSL internet at 1 MBPS at Qr.200/- month.

if needed mozaic cable tv add +50.

9) Petrol one time tank fill up for Qr.55 for mid size

car might last up to 5 days if you commute within the

city.

10) Helath insurance usually provided by your company or

else Qr.75+ for consultations in private clinics

(moderate) / 150+ for the specalists.

11) You can also avail Health cards at Qr.100/- per

person for govt. hospitals.

12) Car insurance is Qr.500+ for third party insurance &

Qr.3500+ for full insurance for new cars for first

year, for the suceeding it will be less.
