if your housing is set and you have ALL the benefits, your salary is great IMO. Because if everything is paid for that means that the 25k is pure income. That's what you have to put in your pocket and spend.

Qatar is not more expensive that Dubai.

PM's advice is never wrong (or is that too strong to say? :P)

Thanks- Still negotiating and I am unsure if the housing is set to a price or not, but my company will pay rents directly. Teachers salaries are in the best international schools between 30-45K USD to start, but with housing etc...

I have been an expat for 20 years and I have never filed my other benefits as part of my package for tyaxes...perhaps I should start.

I will make sure the hosuing is sorted and thanks for the advice.

Actually the housing is covered. There is a 3 Bedroom for me currently used by another American family that has left, so I won’t have top add for housing. Is this better? I have friends whoa are teachers in Dubai and only make 35K USD and say this is a good salary. Is Qatar that much more expensive then Dubai?

Yes must confirm if they give education funds for your children to you. It's very expensive. Plus raise house rent. Rents are becoming higher.
