How to Report a HTC Stolen Mobile and track it?
I'd like to know the proper procedure to report the stolen phone (I call 999 and they says that this is not an emergency... they are right)
Also is possible to track it? and hopefully recover it... it was a HTC Touch Pro mobile :(
I went to QTel, but, they only can help me with to suspend it and replace the sim card...
This is the history about how it happens:
I lost my mobile on march 16th around 9:30 a.m. in a taxi (‘carwa’ Driver No 381_ Car No. 166_), I try to recover it unsuccessfully, I call to my number and nobody answer during the following 3 hours, and then it was turned-off... at the same time I call the company and the driver says that he doesn’t found the phone and he pick up other people after me and maybe they should took it.
The mobile should be locked, but they can use the sim card in other mobile and I’m afraid that maybe these people could make phone calls during the time that they took and when the line finally could be suspended... hopefully no...
Please let me know your suggestions.
Many Thanks!
LUCKILY TWICE IT HAPPEN TO ME I FORGOT MY THING'S INSIDE KARWA TAXI AND I CALL THE KARWA OFFICE TO REPORT IT AND THEY CALL ME AFTER A FEW DAYS ASK ME TO COLLECT MY THING'S.
OFMYHEARTSHAPE = WAS RIGHT BUT IF U KNOW THE PLATE NUMBER OF THAT KARWA TAXI AND U CALL ALREADY THE COMPANY MAYBE THEIR TELLING THE TRUTH SOMEBODY FOUND UR MOBILE
MY SUGGESTION IF U KNOW THE SERIAL NUMBER AND UR MOBILE PHONE MODEL BRING IT TO THE POLICE STATION AND THEY WILL TRACE IT FOR U IF THEY USE UR MOBILE.
you either tell the police to track it or suspend it by qtel. if suspended then it can't be tracked.
several cases of this type were successfully handled by Capital Police (Aasma - Location: On Crazy Signals). Take all documents of your HTC, go to them.
Yeah same here. Lost HTC Mobile on Karwa cab, Rang them and driver found nothing.Never used them since and that was 10 months ago.
Once you report the lost sim card to Q-tel it will be suspended immediately and they will replace the sim card with new one but same number. As for your mobile I doubt it will be recovered. If you know the EMEI of your mobile maybe Q-tel will be able to block it or trace it.
A pino of a friend of mine found a phone, the stupid guy changed the sim and used it for 2 month. then one day bang the police get him and he went to jail here, stupid guy, he stated he tried to find the owner, (how easy could that be just dial a number stored in the phone), anyway serves him right, but the phone was owned by a local and the police did get this pino guy for sure… so it could happen to find your phone.
