I can empathize about the gecko poop in the kitchen. We kept finding "droppings" and my husband actually took one to a biologist with whom he works. Yup, gecko poop! I have to laugh at your crocodiles, mine are litty-bitty guys.
They can be quite annoying. But the first thing is to cover up the holes where they get into the house. Often this is thru the AC, when there is a big gap around the AC. It is important that you tackle that first so new ones will not be able to get in. Then try to catch them and get rid of them. I have cats and they do a very good job in keeping them away.
Smoke is absolutely right about the peacock feather scaring away lizards. But I doubt whether this will work here in the desert. Back home where peacocks are quite abundant and prey on small reptiles and insects , lizards are terrified of them. This is because the mama lizard and papa lizard teach their young uns " Stay away from this monster bird otherwise..........". But here, no peacock so the Qatari lizards are all spoilt brats. But if you start eating them they will definitely fear you.
Put some broken eggs shells at all the corners of the kitchen where they appear and some on the windows and the hole from where they appear, hope this might help it out.
