I signed the contract, but I resigned before probation ends.

Hello there! I do hope you can help me, or enlighten me about the situation I'm going through right now. Last January, I got hired to a Company. Salary is fair enough, and the work place is so tempting that's why I grab it without having second thoughts. I started middle month of January, that's why I'm not really expecting salary yet. But at the back of my back, I should have salary. January had passed, February approach. At the end of February, still no salary. I asked my boss, and he said he will give it some time of March. That's when I started thinking, the Company just open. So employees where just few, including me. Literally few. My visa is not yet transferred, because the embassy is asking lot's of papers in the Company because they just open. So first attempt of asking visa for me, is Failed. The Company needs to register first before issuing visa. That's why I still own my visa. I resigned first week of March. Do you think I will have problem with that? Because I signed the contract, and gave my NOC. But I already e-mailed my resignation letter. And my boss said, Okay. I told my former boss, that I will go out of Qatar, so that I wont have difficult time resigning. But truth be told, Im not. I lied, because I have to. I need to earn money that's why I went here in Qatar, and if I stayed in my former job, I will be buried with debt. I do hope you understand my situation. My issue is, if theres a posibility that my former boss will transfer my visa without asking me, do you think I have a fight with that? I dont know what he is thinking right now. Because if he will do that, he can cancel me anytime. And I cant work to other company. Please help.

You have nothing to fear my friend. Since your visa has not been transfered to his company, he has no legal rights to do anything to you. If you still have your passport with you, then it's IMPOSSIBLE to transfer visa without your consent. Stay cool and look for another job without fear.

It sounds like you are at the mercy of your former employer. With some contracts, if you resign during your probation period, you may lose everything.

Did you consider asking your Embassy for advice? You can have a friend do it for you, in order to protect your identity for now.
