I am moving from Thailand to Doha to work it will give me around 3-4 years work.
The offer is 26,0000 a month + 2 bed apartment, car, internet, mobile, it also says Gym and pool so I assume in the apartment block.
My English wife will be coming with me I expect it to be a lot more expensive than Thailand but what do you think. It gives me around 9,0000 Riyals a month more than Thailand

doha is nothing like pattaya greenman.

There are huge thai community here, and quite numbers of thais ladies with farang husband.

Culture would be different than thailand or england :). I would say come to Qatar and take it as life experience if you never live in the middle east before :).

I do not mean anything bad but you need to understand that I live near Pattaya (go go bars) and the girls are very poor and have a very hard and short working life so when the girls get the farang (foreigner) it’s a case of get as much as possible I do not blame them at all.

Culture: I am English I love the Thai people but I will never be Thai I live in Thailand so I made the effort to speak Thai and understand the culture this is Thailand and I believe I should make the effort.

Food I love spicy food Thai and Malaysian is the best I lived in Malaysia for some time

scuba diving is allright here, but no way as nice as thailand or indonesian in that matter greenman.

Greenman you said "but in Thailand big difference In culture and very expensive".

What do you mean by that. I am not sure what culture you are having, and what culture are you looking for?

Eating out here is allright, plenty of choices ... more and more restaurants are open. But if you have asian taste like me, what they have here is not as good as what I normally eat in the far east. But still better than nothing.

Lol, Novi I must say I think you Asian beauties are far more expensive than we english ladies. It is impossible for you all to be so freaking cute without huge salon bills. If you tell me you guys never go to the salon and such and you wake up looking the way you do I will kill myself!!

Hmm, wonder what it means when he states "his english wife"? Is that to imply that some nationality of wives are more expensive than others and we should take this into account when commenting on his offer :)

life in Qatar is different from life in Thailand, dont put up a high expectation and compare Doha with Bangkok. Take it living here as an experience :)

PS: You do aware with the 'exit permit' system in Doha right? You cant leave the country without your employer permission.
