For Indian food we mostly buy from this restaurant close to our home, which is in the Sana r/a area. The name of the resto is "Corner" and they do the usual buiriyanis, various chicken dishes, fried rice, sandwhiches, parata, etc. They also do delivery which is the best! For Sri Lankan food, which is very similar to Indian food though maybe hotter, they  buy from the "White Oceanic" restaurant that has branches in Najma, Musherib, and Al Sadd. They don't deliver though.

If u are looking for typical North India food not even a single resto makes it here that way...atleast I havent found one (If u somehow find one do let me know too and I would be very thankful)......home would be the best place to get that taste but only if u know cooking....ingredients you will find at many places...for one stop shop I would say go to Indian Supermarket on airport road. For self cooking QR 40 a day would be OK however eating outside would vary depending upon what kind of places you like and what kind of food you can tolerate ..... yeah, for a north indian food lover it is almost "tolerate"...:)All the best.

Indian and Sri Lankan food is by far the most cheapest food around here and of reasonable good quality in most small time restos as well.My family (my husband and daughter) eats out daily, and they manage on around that much per day, comfortably.
