Offer for review

I know that asking for advice on an offer is variable and can't be answered flat out. I've been reading a lot on this board since we got our offer and was just curious what anyone thinks of this. We'll both be teaching and will be living in Al Khor (I know it's small and boring, we understand that and are alright with it).

The package is as follows:

Housing provided - 4BR villa for my wife and I, fully furnished

Salary - 9,500 QR/month for my wife

- 8,900 QR/month for me

Car allowance of 2,400 QR/month (combined total)

Medical, etc. all provided.

How does this sound to you all?

Its good to see you took the offer. Many questions to come, good place to ask, many of these people on here know their shit. Keep asking. Good Luck!

Say hi to Martha

I'm telling you that's a very good offer. You look at what your getting and what your saving and you're getting much more (allowance wise) than most people would get.

So if someone says "it's ok", they're understating the obvious.

Hi vignale,

I'd love to hear more about your

experiences in Al Khor.  Do you live in the Ras Laffan compound?  We

wouldn't be living in the compound, but in the town.  There is very

little info out there on Al Khor and what it's like day to day.  Any

info or thoughts from you experiences would be great.  If you prefer,

you can  message me privately.  Thanks so much.

You have to compare it with what you both Earn today, that is my only advice.

If you are happy with the difference, then go for it.

Don't let others influence this, we all look at it from different angles.

and btw, Al Khor is not that bad - My wife and I lives there and enjoy it better than Doha..(Both working in Ras Laffan)
