hi. if your position is based in mesaieed, then you will be required to live in mesaieed once suitable accommodation is available (built!). this will be encoporated into your formal offer.

HR may biasely based their advice on the cheaper option for the company.. QP may have internal intranet which u may discuss this with other of your collagues who may had the same dilema when they first came here.

Depending on the amount of the allowance and depending on whether u have a family with u, you can either:

(A)risk or take a chance on the market and take up the housing allowance in hope of saving the difference in rent should u find something below ure budget OR

(B) without having to deal with the spiralling and volitility in the real estate mkt, simply take up the provided accommodation (depending on location of course), and make do with the other benefits.

There are various factors to consider:-

- family, dependents, no. of household

- furniture allowance available/fully funrished property being provided

- location of the housing provided

- allowance provided against current market rental for similar housing

some points to ponder on :)

Billy as to my understanding there is no QP facilities, since evryone is given the housing allowance so that they can look for a comfortable/reasonable price in the city.

Do not know If this is new policy, but take Novita's word and ask HR to explain in detail what is it you will get.

Bes regards
