Rising Costs of Accomodation

Hi,
I have been offered a job in Doha, and would be joining in the end of september. The rising accomodation prices are intimidating for me. What is the cost of a furnished 2-bedroom apartment the moment? Also are they expected to rise further? Can you please help. I am being offered just 3750QAR for accomodation, and I don't think that will be enough to afford a family accomodation in the current scenario. Is a drop in prices expected in the near future?
Thanks.

My landlord has just given notice to several tenants because he doesnt feel 6000 is enough for a 2B flat. He now wants new tenants for 8000pm.

I think the real estate markets in all GCC countries will crash in the next 12-18 months.

You have to rent but don't even consider buying anything with your own money

I was talking to an estate agent the other day and he said they MIGHT drop a little but not down to what they were! Before i was in my Fully funished apartment i managed to get a 2 bed apartment for 4500 but the closer it gets to games time they seem to be rising again also if you see one you like take it straight away as if you even ring back 5 hours later it could be gone!

You're right.

3750 isn't enough for family accommodation. Don't expect a drop in costs anytime. Nothing falls in price.
