Why don't you go for the areas like DOHA JADEED or AL SAAD?? These are much better than any other areas in QATAR..
Anyways, i too would rate MANSOORA above NAJMA..

To be honest, as a Westerner and what I am used to Najma would be a 1. Mansoura is about a 5.

Najma and Mansoura are the area for every one...
On my scale it's 5
It's one of the worst areas of the city. Especially if you are a woman. Mansoura rates better.

If you are looking for a quiet place to live, spacious rooms etc.; the ranking would be 3
If you are looking for all amenities nearby (like banks, ATM, shops, restaurants ) the ranking would be 9 or 10 !!
