Salaam every1 :) I will be moving to Doha in the summer inshallah .... I am afraid of the heat :( :( :( I heard can reach 52'C in the summer and 80% humidity. I know is a stupid question but ... does any of you have any tips to protect myself and the kids when going out ?? we certainly can't be stuck at home !!!! Will the hijab actually protect me ?
looking forward to be there
salaam aleikum

Claudia, the kindda atmosphere u have been experiencing in ITALY won't find it here..yes its very hot during summer days..But its not like that u will find urself frying in a pan when u will step out..ACs r everywhere...U just need to bear heat when u r standing out which is a very rare case..So just pack ur bags and land it here..Its a nice country...BEST LUCK HONEY..

It all goes a bit dead in the afternoon anyway. Be prepared to fry.

Hi there

As long as you wear loose fitting cotton clothing you will be fine... everywhere is airconditioned and I mean everywhere, the cars, the malls the shops so you will hardly ever be "out" in the heat. Walking is not really the done thing, as everyone has a car and goes by car even if its 10 mins down the road.

You will be fine... if you plan to go swimming or be out in the heat just make sure you have the highest factor sun cream on ...

Welcome to DOha
