Abood Azooz....Its not Haram using internet but it depends on da way u use it....At tyms its better to use net ....for example n ma work wen i don have work i just load Quranflash.com n read Quran online so is dis Haram...nops....but ya da person who so eva said dis has just said 4 ur betterment so dear just use it da way it should be... :)

its not haram. The man probably meant dont waste time unnecessarily on the internet instead use this precious time in gaining good deeds as much as possible.

Why only 'Ramadan'?The misuse of internet should not be done anytime.As far as this particular man is concerned,he may be objecting to the viewing of pornographic material,which is anyway blocked by Qtel.There is no such thing as personal discretion here.The state makes the decision:-)...so do not worry...

(Am I really right on this blocked matter or has been out of the world for a while)

No,its not haram in Ramadan ,provided that u dont misuse it.Anyways,the Holy Month of Ramadan is to earn more Good Deeds.Instead of whiling away ones time,one can do more of ïbadha.If misused ,internet is haram in other months too.
