hey..thats a usual remark of somebody higher than you who is incapable or insecure of your abilities.I guess you are able to fight back or reason out with him. It happened to me so many times before. This is what I did. "I told him give me ticket then and end-of-service benefits". His natural reaction would be to calm down and won't say a word since the moment you say those words, it seems you become so confident and don't afraid to lose your job (which in reality you are frightened, hehehe). Don't let your fright shows up in your argument. Then, ask him that as per your contract, you have to know the grounds of terminating your work or sending you home. Mention many times the Labour Office or Qatar Labour Law (in which you should be conversant also, try reading the Labour Law), and that will give him a chill. Because as per the Labour Law, no one can just terminate any contract without valid reason..Hope this will help you. My boss stops nagging or threatening of sending me home. Best of luck..

Some time this is call bulling. They should get bad staffs rather than very good one. They should get lessons. They will know the values of you when you are not here anymore. Don't give up. If you need consultation contact with me. Use some techniques to make it work conditions.

GOOD LUCK

Welcome to Qatar. This is the usual line of cowards who don't know how to be proper bosses here; they simply resort to bullying and threats to get the job done. This shows in the level of customer service, construction quality, etc. in Doha. You don't get good results from workers by threatening them. Sadly, they CAN send you home rather easily, so calling their bluff doesn't do you very good. The next time he threatens to send you home, say something like "Good. I would rather be poor and hungry in my own country than be treated like a slave and have to work with a moron like you", then go pack your bags.

The bosses learn from THEIR bosses, and this is they way the locals's talk to their workers and handle their problems as well, they simply send them back home. They threaten the lower bosses the same way, and the bosses threaten you with it. In summary, there's nothing you can do about it.

I like how some of the people answering here are accusing you of not being a good worker. I've been in Qatar long enough to know it doesn't matter how many hours you work, how hard you work, how much free-time you give up, and how little you earn; it is never enough and you will always be treated poorly and threatened with deportation. They have the upper hand, and you have to get used to it.

All you can do is someday hope to meet your "boss" in a bar in your own country some night, as equals, and you can tell him what you really think of him.

If you are on right dont bother the attitude coz all the benefits are from Almighty ALLAH (GOD). And in this regard i appreciate the ist answer for your answer.

Awww :-(

I am sorry to hear this. If I were you I would ask him what it is he would like you to improve on. If he gives you some constructive feedback then try your best. If he can't come up with anything, then just ignore him and try to do your job as well as you can. Perhaps he is really insecure and that is why he is hitting out at you.

First try to find out the real reason, why he is threatning you always, is that your work performance is poor or attitude, if you ok with this two, then try to find out who is the culprit backbiting you, you can solve the problems if you really find out the three reasons, hope for good....All the best

very sad for you, and i have the same problem but good thing im gulf citizen i can send him back home but he cannot send me! just look at him as an idiot, its not easy to answer ur boss send me if you really need this job. i know its hard, but if he has a senior manager go and report him. very stupid people who come from zero back ground act this way to their employees, if you try to look ur bosses back ground u will find out he was nothing back in his country and if he is from here (gulf ) then he is those badou who didnt go to school and now he got position, its like a deaf saw a moon.

Probable reason why he's saying that is maybe due to your work performance.

joe90 is right.. that is not a good attitude of a boss.. if they want a good employee to stick longer with them..they should treat their crew well. this boss you have doesn't deserve a good service...if you can find a better boss or employer ..start working it out. fire your boss!:-)

Say "go on then, send me back". If he is serious he will send you back and if he is not serious he will stop saying it. Either way you will not have to worry about your boss threatening you any more.
