Sadaf... To work legally in the State of Qatar as a Nurse, you will have to apply with the National Health Authority for the license together with all your educational documents duly attested and authorized by the concerned authorities, ministries, embassies etc.. Once accepted, you will be asked to attend a 7 day training course followed by an examination in which you have to pass with min. of 80% marks. Then they will issue a license to work as a registered/approved nurse in the State of Qatar. If you are found and caught working without an NHA License, you will be penalized, jailed and deported. So just be careful. Don't take the chance to work without a license.

You cannot apply for any medical position if you don't have NHA License even if you are applying as Nursing Assistant or Aide. You can PM me if you need help with your application with NHA as I have just passed my verification form last Jan. 3. We can help each other out.

Being lisenced in your home country allows you to practice ONLY in your home country...by law,no you can't practice here or in most countries in the world without a lisence, however there will be people who will hire you for a lower salary because of that fact,in which case, both the person that hired you & yourself will be breaking the law,if the authorites from the MOH conduct a spot check(which they do fairly often these days) or if a patient makes a complaint about the establishment,in which case, they will check each employee's lisence & find that you're not lisenced, rest assured, you will be deported back to the Phillipines & will never be allowed to return to Qatar,if that's a risk you're willing to take,go right ahead...good luck...
