Is air pollution serious in Doha?

Hello,

May I check, is environmental pollution a serious issue in Qatar/Doha? Is air quality good in Doha? Do you often see clean and clear sky while living there?

It's polluting here in HK, esp air, so I would like to see if I can escape ...

Thanx.

Don't you think that letting them kill computer bugs is more constructive?

Hello,

Oh, beautiful places seem always associated with dangers. Hope those people's focus will change from killing people to killing computer bugs ...

Nye! In all the main city even in Cebu is badly polluted! of course! rice terraces don't have road there for cars so it should be clear. try to go to Cotobato it's countryside but people like to kill each other! :-( so dead bodies pollutes the air! :-(

Judge not! that you be not judged!

Think-Twice, it's only in the Capital City, Manila! Tagaytay City is clean and you can enjoy a nice view of Taal, Volcano.

Bagiou City is not that polluted as well, I will find out about Cebu when I got back there, it's been a long time I haven't travelled the Visayan Region. Hopefully, this October to Cebu, Aklan and Bohol!

I think what Mys is trying to say is only some cities in Philippines!

Cheers!

Pollution sources are often cross-country. In Hong Kong, air pollution is not entirely caused by polluted air emission within the city, but originated from factories in the mainland China, which emit lots of toxic air.

Hello Mystica,

I'm slightly surprised to hear that air pollution is also serious in the Philippines. Maybe in Manila, but I have an impression that the Philippines countryside is clean, clear & beautiful (I always want to see those terraced rice fields) ...

Thanx.

Qatar is very clean.

I did my dissertation on the legal system relating to environmental law and Qatar's regulations.

Qatar is very strict with pollution.

As for the sound of vehicles, it depends where you go, if you are in a busy area, you'll hear cars, otherwise, residents are quite quiet :)

Hello,

It's good to hear that air quality is good there. As I have seen people saying Qatar is a quiet place, so I suppose I can get rid of noisy commercials and vehicles?

Stay healthy.

Thanx.

can cause a serious air pollution problem in Qatar. Had it not been for the wind and the open area qatar's air would have been seriously polluted

I don't think Doha has a serious problem with air pollution because there are no hills preventing the moving of the air on any side of it and there are usually winds in the area. But the sky will not be clear most of the time due to dust from the desert.

May the roof above us never fall in, and may the friends below never fall out!
