Hey everyone,
My husband and I are moving to Qatar in a few weeks. We found out the compound we will be living in is Al Fardan Gardens 5. It is not available until September for us. Can anyone tell me how Al Fardan Gardens compounds are, or has pictures to share with us. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-

Yaksbunt, you will find most questions you have have been asked before - so use the search first to save time

This place is full of valuable info, and helpful people - so welcome to QL and Doha!

Thank for the great info on the compound - we have just accepted an offer for Rasgas and the Al Farden compound was on the list of possible housing for us!

Hopefully they will all be completed by the time we arrive in Novemeber!

I would be interested in hearing about your arrival in Qatar and any tips you might want to pass alongabout your transition into Qatari life!

I just recently arrived with my family and we are also slated to live in Al Fardan 5 (once it's completed in late Aug/early Sep). I visited the compound last week and looked at the 3 models they have which are nearly completed (although the compound is not ready - sorry didn't take photos). I was impressed by the size of the villas and I think they will be quite nice once finished out completely (still some work to do). Although it’s not completed it seems to compare quite nicely with what I saw in photos of some of the other Al Fardan compounds. What really stood out to me were the amenities. The recreation center facilities include two tennis courts (one on the roof, yes, the roof, of the rec. center), huge gym, billiards room (with wall mounted flat panel TV), restaurant, separate men and women sauna and locker rooms, aerobics room, yoga room, squash court, good sized pool, and even a room in the rec. center which will have about 20 computers with internet access for residents to use free of charge. One nice touch is the gym has huge windows which face the pool area.

Individual villas will have 3 satellite dishes pre-pointed to the relevant TV provider satellites and you provide the receivers (must subscribe). Individual internet in villas must be subscribed for by tenants.

Overall, very nice compound. My family is looking forward to moving in.

The compound is right behind Al Fardan II. Here’s the satellite link from the Wikimapia.org map. Note that Al Fardan is right next to it. http://wikimapia.org/#lat=25.2340015&lon=51.414535&z=17&l=0&m=b

Forgot to add but the compound is not far from the American School of Doha if anyone has kids going there and is close to the Villagio and Hyatt Plaza shopping malls (very nice).

Hope that helps.

Al Fardan Gardens are one of the executive gardens in Qatar, with having more then one compound actually..they are Al Fardan Gardens 1, 2, 3 and 4. First one is located in the main city area with a big shopping mall acroos the road..2,3 and 4 are little out of city but still on a accessible area. As for inside they are all well maintained Gardens with landscaping,a 24/7 security at gate as well as the boundaries were protected with security cameras. Each garden have a community club. Overall the villas are very attractive and spacious.

Actually i worked in Al Fardan Gardens:)

Have a nice stay in Qatar.

Each Al Fardan is somewhat different but all are nice places to live. It just depends on if you like the location and since it is new it will be a little barren for a while in terms of landscaping.
