Any one expect the rent to go down ?

I noticed during the last couple of weeks that the rental dropped a little bit , anyone have information abouth this , i mean look at all these empty compounds and buildings no one wil fill them if there is no resonable prices .

Wait until the remaining Barwa housing projects attain completion. That should pull down the rent even more.

yes it has to comedown, insha allah let's hope for the best, this may be due to many more construction in and around doha, the landlords can consider this rent reduction, so expats can save some amount.

Since properties are not being taken up as rapidly as before, you now have the luxury of shopping around before you decide. If you find a place that you like then try to negotiate and if the landlord or agent does not budge then walk away, there are plenty more on the market.

I know that at the higher end of the market Berverly Hills 2 has come down to QR 18,000/month from around QR 25,000/month, so that should give you a good idea of how the rest of the market is doing.

All depends on your negotating skills and the Agent/landlord.. If they are not willing to negotaite..find someone who is willing..
