If you are willing to buy a laptop worth 1300$ then go for a Mac. If you really, really want a windows based PC, then Dell is a good brand. I have a Fujitsu Seimens, also good; but my brother (the computer geek) :) recommends Dell or Mac of course.

There are no websites here that I know of, with prices online. Qatar is a little behind sadly in that respect, but there are plenty of shops. Expect to pay 300$ more here for a Mac though, and at least half that for a Dell or something else.

It's not cheap here like it used to be.

I don't know about websites, but we just bought a laptop 2 weeks ago at Carrefour. It is HP and pretty good. There are the best laptops I think.
