If 1 month (unextedable Visa) means you have to apply at Airport Immigration. If not, you have to submit different type of application along with NOC (from the sponsor company)at Garaffa Immigration which will enable the visitor to stay for 6 months in the country.

Hello.

My husband works at Doha on business visa now. His company will be processing a Work Permit soon, but we aren't sure if that will be sure. They promised to process WP earlier but simply renewed his business visa. Hence this time I'm planning to travel on tourist visa to Doha. Will you be able to help me to get a tourist visa? I understood that i need a sponsorship letter from someone residing at Doha to get a tourist visa.

We will have to look out for an accommodation to live once i go to Doha. For now he lives in his company's guest house. The company's policy doesn't allow the dependents to live in the guest house when their employees aren't in a work permit.

Kindly help for the visa and then for the accommodation.

Please reply.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Mrs.Vasudha.

As I discussed above, there r different types of Visas for entry into any country. Well most of the expats in Qatar I guess are holding Employment[Work] Visas while their families have dependent Visa. To approve the stay for beyond 6 months one should have Residence Permit.

Yes, Owen, the council of elders of the QL upon evaluation of your case has decided that you have sinned by writing "small caps" and therefore have to be expulsed from QL and condemned to 10 years of living in Saudi Arabia :)

Hi, there are different formalities for applying Visa for visitors viz. sponsoring your family [spouse+kids] or close relatives, friends, business guests etc. First of all be specific like whom do you want to bring and how long. To my knowledge the types of Visas [in Qatar popularly known as] are Visit Visa, Business Visa, Tourist Visa or Transit Visa other than Residence Permit.
