I'm moving to Doha Saturday. I appreciate any advice for a new comer.
I'm in Canada currently.
Do I have to take some cash if I don't have any local currency? how much?
Thanks,
Joan01

HI welcome to qatar ,

no need to carry cash in hand if you have a bank card that quite enough, or else you can exchange the $ once you reach city ,

before you go for the accomodation make sure you are not spending alot on it, before the rent was too high, in fact the recentdays it has comdown, so what i mean is you can find a good villa for a resonable rate,

any assitance needed pls dont hesitate to leave a call on this number, +9746897128

Hi!!

Welcome to Doha!!I hope you will like this place. In my opinion you should carry some cash along with your ATM just to be on the safe side approx 8000 to 10000 rials so that you have enough to survive.all the best to you.

Welcome, Joan. Just bring your ATM card, that should do the trick! Yes, you will need cash because it takes some time to get set up and on your company's payroll.

Yep always hand to carry some cash but not too much. The ATM machines here accept most international bank cards so you can withdraw cash. Check with your bank regarding withdrawal charges..

Good luck hope all goes well for you..
