Astrology books and Bible?

Hi there Qataris, we are about to move to Qatar and I have some questions on what is allowed to bring. I have about 15 astrology books.. I also have 2-3 bible's.. is it possible to bring those type of books?

Another thing, is it allowed to play computergames online, for example World Of Warcraft?

I also wonder what is not possible to bring, I already know that alcohol is not OK.

What about romance books like Mills & Boon? Are they banned too?

Most works of fiction are allowed =p j/k Geez people!

Seriously, in the OPs defence Jauntie some countries in the middle east have VERY vague guidelines (like not allowed to bring in anything deemd offensive to Islam....which, depending on the censors mood, can mean almost ANYTHING!).

Its possible to play WOW from Qatar (though I haven't tried it yet....kinda swore off MMORPGs after Evercrack! LOL)....Someone on another thread said they play it from here.

Good luck with the move Seth.

Stay safe all.

Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?

Honestly Jauntie, I find older people or even same age as him, asking questions, the least I can describe is "immature and naive".

But I also fully understand how any person needs affirmation and assurance when they are moving to a completely new region and culture.

This is why I take it easy with them, knowing and feeling their anxiety.

That's all..:) umm, what’s with the harsh lady tonight…)

These should be ok to enter the country as books or even on CDs. Not a problem.

Please check the previous threads, on QL here, regarding Books, CDs, DVDs, pork and other food, halal, illegal, new in Doha, new in Qatar...etc. Just click on Search, on top of this page, and type in any key word. That should save you a lot of time.

Nevertheless, ask as many questions here, I’m not shutting you out..:)

Wishing you easy and smooth transition, with less challenge.

Salam
