Attesting Degree Certificates
I have had a number of people ask me this question and I thought it would be a good idea to put it out here on QL for the community to respond.
When one accepts a public sector job, he/she is required to submit attested degree certificates. Now could you help me understand this better with regard to the following:
1. original degree certificates are supposed to be pristine documents bearing the original seal of the granting institution and signature(s) of institutional heads/granting authorities. It is a ridiculous demand to place stamps/signatures of authorities who are in no way connected with the granting institution. This amounts to defacing the original.
2. Does the HR of the hiring organization mean attested of copies of the original certificate/document?
3. What if a person has multiple degrees from multiple countries?

because there are lots of fraud here in qatar...
Your embassy should authenticate your documents first to proof that your degree certs are not fake and that you really graduated with that institution before the respective authorities in qatar may authenticate it as their requirements.
So if your documents are fake, they can sue your embassy for attesting fake documents.
I dont really care whose fault it is. please post pertinent replies. I am sure others with similar questions don't want to sift through garble.
Can we start a list of illogical requests here? or it would be considered hijacking.
Why are you expecting anything to be logical ?
having the same issue as you. they want to stamp my uni degree, which i have framed at my house for myself. absolutely stupid.
i dont even know where i can get it attested....
