I loved some of these lists, sounded like the BBQ was going to last for a week, not just for a day.

I would say pack light and enjoy yourself, unless you plan for everyone to go swimming in a full set of clothes then swimming costumes and a towel will be all the extra clothes you need, you can even sit on the towel to eat.

Plastic plates, cutlery, bread roles and tools for the BBQ are a good idea tho.

Guess that would be a quicky one then, long drive and the grill is in the back of your car ... then hooop to one supermarket and guys yallah yallah quickly pick up whatever you want to eat, grill whatever is there ... chicken burger, beef burger, frozen hot dogs, canned hot dogs, mushrooms, cheese , bread soft drinks ... and you got only 5 minutes before i let my bullets chase all of you here :D

Let's get an input, I know that this is off the subject. Do you think they would sell here in Qatar?

I am not talking about a converted office trailer, I am talking about one with beds, kitchen area, bath with shower, water tanks, propane tanks the works.

I spent a lot of time camping in the heat and with female friends, that is the biggest issue next to the T paper.

Do they even have camping trailers in this country?

I have seen some veriations of office trailers turned into cames but nothing like I have at home.

who would go to the beach when it's so hot outside?

but I guess some people are braver than I am.

I would take battery operated misting fans. We had some of those in the states this summer. Heavenly. Does anyone know if you can find those here in Qatar?

You know, just in case after playing that music using your car stereo, your battery ends up dead.

and CELLPHONE battery all charged up...you might need to call for rescue in case you get stuck...

NOTE: DO GO IN GROUPS...it's safer and more convenient...if you ever get stuck...

QUITE A STICKY SITUATION, REALLY...this beach BBQUE...lol

another tip: if you feed your music system through your car battery, keep the engine running, or you will need a lift home.

- first aid kit (for burns, cut, jellyfish stings)

- water (lots of it; for drinking and putting out the coals when you're done bbque'ing)

- trash bags (those black plastic bags to put your trash in)

- BEACH UMBRELLA, chairs and mats (for you and your guests to sit under a shade)

- towels and extra clothes (if you plan to swim)

- chips or snack foods (while waiting for the bbque to cook)

and make sure you know what to do if you got stuck in the sand...
