British Curriculum Schools

We are moving to Doha in November and will be looking for a school for my daughter for January. She will be going into reception. I have realised that this is indeed a very difficult task as there are few to no spaces available. I was wondering if there is any advice anyone could give me regarding good British or PYP schools that would have places available. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Many thanks

Apply for all the schools & wait for response. You will get to choose when there are more than 1 schools offer you a place.

Hi if its just one place you need then it's likely you will get a place in a descent school for November. I would advise not to accept just any offer to gain entry, wait until the last few weeks if you have to and keep contacting the schools of your choice.

Its difficult - because the only schools with places are those schools you won't want

Newton International School should have spaces.

Just apply to them all NOW and keep your fingers crossed - most people are waiting 1-2 years for reception classes at present.

In the meantime, places like Cedars offer very good tutition to tide you over

ISLQ - International School of London, Qatar - is a good IB PYP school.

That age group is the most difficult to get a place. But you should just apply in all the school and then see where there are places
