Buying Land in Bangalore

My question might not be relevant for Qatar Living here. But I do need some advice from some Indian who are from Bangalore.

I am intending to buy some plot of land in Bangalore through a company called Mokanro Realty http://www.mokanro.com/projects/19-acres.

The project name is 19Acres. They are selling one squarefoot of land for 79 rupees. Is this a good price? Is there anthing I should know about buying land in India. What about the tax system? Will I be able to retire to India? I am a British Citizen.

Your assistance would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

Both "Shining Star" and "Coxtown Rajan "are 100% correct and true.

Seeing is believing .....

Take their advice.

Dear, me being a born & settled bangalorean, there is no place left in Bangalore to sell @ Rs 79/sq ft. Its one of the fastest growing city, over flowing with USA based IT companies coming up daily. Even the remotest place, say 100 kmts away from city limits wouldnt be at this rate. Hundreds of such fake sellers are coming up and vanishing daily looting public funds, better be care ful. Unless you have your own guys down there, do not invest in any of such properties. Its hard to earn and easy to loose in Bangalore. Best of luck again.

Bangalore is the one of the best place to settle after retirement. I am not telling it’s the only place, but certainly it’s one of the best places. If you are interested in buying a property, you better be careful as there are lots of companies who might end up fooling big time.

The best way to buy is to find a trust worthy person, visit Bangalore personally, verify the property including legal documentation and location which is more important.

We Bangalorians don't like Flat or Apartment System of life style. We believe in Villas and love privacy. On an average, a good locality/location to buy a plot for constructing a villa would cost you nothing less than Rs.6000/- to Rs.8000/- per square foot in a decent locality and if you can afford, the sky is the limit. If you are OK with Apartment life style, you will find lots a builders with many offers.

If you need more info, feel free to contact me.
