can a single mother get a visa?

Hi all - I'm a single mum - I've had a job offer in Doha but I'm worried that I won't get a residency visa without a marriage certificate (I was never married to my child's father).
does anyone know whether it will be possible - or if there's any way around this?

Did you contact the Qatari embassy in your country? They should be able to help …

Yes it's possible. I've met a young single mother here. Your company should provide you the visa for your child.

Don't worry about this, qatari law allows it.

Ask your company.

Here in Saudi friends of ours she's single mother, she's not married to the father of her child, she has her 2 kids here! As far as I know the Gulf applied the same system when it comes to issuing visas. but of course they will not give all the benefits that they give with married man's status. you have to pay for your kids education, flight, medicals etc...... well good luck to you.

You should have the company that you have the offer from check it with the authorities. If they really want you they can probably swing it.
