CGC and Fujitsu Consulting win Ras Girtas IT
Partnership Awarded Contract for implementation of ERP (SAP) business solutions
Consolidated Gulf Co. (CGC), the leading IT, Telecom and Engineering Solution & Services provider in Qatar and its partner Fujitsu Consulting (FC), part of the Business Solutions Group at Fujitsu America, have been awarded a major contract by Ras Girtas Power Company for the implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP, business solutions. The new solutions will help Ras Girtas in monitoring and optimizing implementation of various business operations across its verticals.
Ras Girtas Power Company is engaged in the prestigious project ‘The Ras Laffan C IWPP’. It is the largest co-generation plant in Qatar with a capacity of 2,730 MW of power and 63 million gallons a day of potable water and is one of the biggest in the Middle East region. The first phase of the power production would be operational by May 2010 followed by water in August 2010.
The contract was signed recently in Doha by Faisal Obaid Al Siddiqi, Vice Chairman and CEO, Ras Girtas, and Anil Mahajan, COO, CGC.
