As novita mentioned there is a diving club where you can meet friendly people. Doha sub aqua club is the best place for going diving with if you don't have friends. You can come and join the club, every Tuesday there is a meeting held at 20:00. You can take more details at given site. http://www.dohasubaquaclub.com/
