Hi,I just want to ask if I am mandatory to pay for the 1yr 6months of my visa to my company here in Qatar.I was about to resign, and terminate my contract since they are not following the qatar labor law, like we need to duty 12-14hrs a day,no holiday pay,no overtime pay. I am moving to Sweden because my resident permit there has been approved that's why I need to resign.but how much do I need to pay for my remaining visa?pls urgent,I need your help

Most of them are right you have to make a solid excuses. But you have to be careful not to leak your real reason to anyone of the company otherwise your sponsor will give you troubles and do anything to hold you.

As Cherukkan mention there is no such things as rules for this in the labour law of Qatar.

What I remember is If you resigned wihtout completing a year the company will not be responsible for your return ticket ehre you have to pay it from your pocket.

Create scenarious that you will go home immediately your family need you , if you complain that to labor it will do too much process you might be cooked for a while , win win solution is better.

They are frightening you. There are no such clauses in the Employment contract or Labour Law. Do you have a copy of the contract? Read it properly.
