Do many people in Compounds have outdoor settings?

We are moving early march and the shipping company said we can fit our outdoor setting in if we want to take it. Will a Villa back yard be too small for an outdoor setting  (ie will it take up valuable doggy space )or is it unrealistic to take it? Do they get used or not because it's hot most of the time?

Also, thinking of bring our bbq, are the gas bottles the same over there?

THanks !!!

From the nervous Aussie's who love eating our bbq's out doors :)

My husband brought some outdoor furniture when he arrived and had it in the patio area out the back of our villa, once i arrived with the kids we soon realised that we spent most of our time out the front watching the kids ride their bikes around the compound.I moved our furniture out the front of our villa, there is no shade there but with a large umbrella it has provided a great spot for us and everyone else in the compund  to sit and relax while the kids played. Many of the other villas have followed suit and the compiound now has a sort of cafe feeling to it!!!In the middle of summer i imagine we will move the furniture back around the to the side or back of the villa where there is more shade as it will just be too hot out the front. I wouldn't say the quality of the furniture is that good here so if you have room i'd say pack it!!Bring the BBQ too!!

Good luck with the move, we have been here almost 3 months and was just saying what a blur the whole packing up and moving here with 3 boys is now.The weather is just perfect at the moment. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.

Superb

it about 23c no humidty blue skies.

i have come from Hong Kong and had similar misgivings but everything will be fie unless one partner is tuck on a compound without transport..then boredom will set in, hence so many online friends....

If you're living life on the edge, you've got too much room.

it's better for you to see the compound first where you are moving in, and most of the outdoor setting are available here in the market as well. even bbq are also available with a number of brand to choose from.

and never let your dog to stay out specially during summer (June to August), it's around 45-50 degrees with high humidity. but nowadays the weather here is nice

The Compounds tend to have smaller back yards, but generally there is room for a patio set. The stand alone villas will have larger yards. For the BBQ, you can get gas bottles and regulators very easily, and it is not a big deal to change the regulator.
